About Leartset

This site was initially inspired by a desire to reproduce the look of the instant lettering product Letraset. Add the magic of infinitely scalable and repeatable vector files and you have a resource for unlimited creative and commercial use.

A product of the 70′s and 80′s used for type setting in the days before computers. Graphic designers burnished individual characters, one by one from their sheets of Letraset onto their artwork with painstaking patience and precision, only to find they didn’t have enough e’s to finish the work.

On the site you will find editable* pdf files. Presented in the form of those smooth sheets of type with the blue backing paper.

The site is maintained by me, Guy Hazell, mail – leartset at gmail dot com,
I originally trained in printmaking and sculpture, although since the early nineties I have worked in
video and motion graphics – http://www.linkedin.com/in/guyhazell.

*To use them open the files in a vector drawing package.
